Zenith Minerals’ latest round of reverse circulation drilling at the Red Mountain Gold Project in Queensland provides a clearer picture of an intrusion related gold system that is continuing to expand laterally and at depth.

The first three assay results from the current programme outline thicker and higher grade gold zones north of previous drilling, reinforcing the scale of the breccia hosted mineralisation and its structural controls.

Highlights

  • 122 metres at 1.28 grams per tonne gold from 209 metres in hole ZRMRC068, including 55 metres at 2.18 grams per tonne gold and a 1 metre sample at 30.9 grams per tonne gold.

  • 10 metres at 1.16 grams per tonne gold from 228 metres in ZRMRC069, including 1 metre at 7.77 grams per tonne gold.

  • Diamond drilling to the south previously returned 139.7 metres at 1.05 grams per tonne gold and 349.95 metres at 0.47 grams per tonne gold, with visible gold recorded in altered granite breccia.

  • Mineralisation is hosted within a breccia pipe controlled by a northwest trending structure, with rhyolite sills providing higher grade zones.

  • An induced polarisation anomaly 500 metres south presents a lookalike target for drilling in early 2026.

The emerging geological picture is that of a system in which gold tenor improves along a northwest corridor marked by coherent rhyolite thickening and structural complexity.

Hole ZRMRC068 delivered the strongest indication to date, returning long intervals of mineralisation that suggest a more robust part of the intrusion related system, with internal high grade sections aligning with the mapped breccia and sill architecture across the project area.

Deep diamond drilling has added further weight to the geological model. Intervals of up to 349.95 metres at 0.47 grams per tonne gold, paired with visible gold hosted in altered granite breccia, demonstrate that the system has considerable vertical persistence.

These results support the interpretation of a substantial breccia pipe influenced by a northwest structural trend that is also reflected in the induced polarisation dataset presented in the announcement.

The updated geological understanding follows several years of systematic drilling, relogging and integration of historical geophysical surveys.

Mineralisation has now been confirmed across multiple positions within the breccia body and through adjacent rhyolite sheets, and the diamond precollars established in the current campaign provide a platform for deeper tests while several pending RC holes may add further definition to the system.

Zenith Minerals‘ Managing Director Andrew Smith emphasised the significance of the new structural clarity, stating

“We now have a much clearer definition of the breccia architecture, giving us the confidence to refine drill orientation and more effectively target the best mineralised parts of the system.”

The next phase of activity will integrate diamond tails, further RC drilling and expanded geophysics, with a newly identified induced polarisation target to the south representing an important priority, while surface geochemical work will be undertaken to establish signatures suitable for broader regional application.

With structural, lithological and geophysical datasets now converging, Zenith enters a phase where drill targeting can become increasingly precise.

The system remains open in multiple directions and at depth, and the combination of thick rhyolite hosted gold and a coherent breccia pipe supports the potential for continued growth as drilling progresses along the Red Mountain corridor.
