Dreadnought (ASX:DRE) haul in high-grade lookalikes

Dreadnought Resources’ auger program has returned no less than 13 lookalikes of its high-grade Orion Cu-Ag-Au-Co-Zn discovery at the Tarraji-Yampi Project in Western Australia’s Kimberley Region.

Five include known outcropping mineralisation, and the newly identified Thunderer and Vanguard prospects returned with grades as high as 39.4 per cent copper, 165g/t silver, 1.6g/t gold and 0.1 per cent cobalt – building on a discovery showing genuine scale.

 “Our low impact auger program at Tarraji-Yampi has been a resounding success and resulted not only in identifying additional Orion and Grant’s look-alike targets, but a better understanding of the lithostructural controls for mineralisation,” Dreadnought Managing Director Dean Tuck said.

“This improved understanding has resulted in the definition of thirteen geochemical anomalies with similar trace element signatures to Orion and Grant’s.”

“We are excited about making additional discoveries at Tarraji-Yampi and also looking forward to the drill targets from the current FLEM survey.”

Tarraji-Yampi had been untouched for around half a century, and deploying modern techniques to explore for mineralisation under shallow cover has been a revelation for Dreadnought, who have now reared the project into showing true camp scale potential.

The project now boasts five clusters of historical mining on outcropping mineralisation, a high-grade Orion discovery going deep under just one metre of cover, and 13 high-quality lookalikes within a tenement area showing similarities to the ludicrously productive Cloncurry IOCG province.

Dreadnought now plans to fire up discovery-focused drilling in September as outlooks on the red metal grow bold.
