Regener8 (ASX:R8R) confirm REE enrichment at East Ponton
July 20, 2023After finalising the decision to acquire the Grasshopper and Seven Sisters prospects, Regener8 Resources’ review and reanalysis of historical data confirmed enriched rare earth mineralisation within its East Ponton Future Metals Project in Western Australia.
Historical samples reassayed for rare earths yielded results up to 1698ppm TREO and revealed the presence of carbonatite pathfinder elements associated with rare earth enrichment.
“The confirmation of elevated rare earth values within an in-situ weathered context, co-incident with strong magnetic geophysical anomalies, creates very compelling targets to vector towards testing,” Regener8 Managing Director Stephen Foley said.
“Being in the neighbourhood of outstanding mineralised carbonatites further encourages us to advance exploration with rigour and we look forward to progressing on ground as soon as possible,” he added.

A transformational opportunity
After securing a tenement package next to some of the highest-grade rare earth intercepts ever recorded in Australia, Regener8 view its acquisition of territory considered highly prospective for lithium, gold and rare earth as a potentially transformational opportunity.
Its newly acquired assets sit close to Ponton Dyke and the Cundeelee Intrusion, the former has returned eye-opening drill intercepts as high as 16m @ 14.48% while BHP has previously described Cundeelee as the largest, effectively untested carbonatite on earth.
But those prospects, sitting within the Queen Victoria Spring Nature Reserve, are rendered largely undevelopable, and Regener8 saw an opportunity to claim tenements outside the nature reserve, but in the same geological domain as those highly prospective targets.
Forward plan
As it continues to grow its geological understanding of its new tenements, Regener8 will consider further assessment of reference occurrences at Cundeelee and Ponton Dyke, data analysis, site inspection and target assessment as it circles around drill testing of its new territory.
