Kingsland Minerals has confirmed uranium (U308) grades as high as 679ppm for 42m including 1655ppm for 8m (CLRC029) from its maiden RC drilling at its underexplored Cleo Uranium Project near Pine Creek in the Northern Territory.

Four metre composite sample assays for the first 16 RC holes drilled in a 30 hole program also returned 447 ppm for 54m U3O8 including 4m at 1,706 ppm (CLRC015), 747ppm for 16m (CLRC033). uran42m @ 679 ppm U3O8).

The Company said the broad, high grade uranium assays confirm the potential of the Cleo Project.

“We are extremely pleased and excited with the initial assay results from our maiden drilling program,” Managing Director Richard Maddocks said.

These results lay a foundation to grow the footprint of the Cleo uranium mineralisation. The deposit is open at depth and along strike and we will be planning additional drilling to target these areas.

To receive such encouraging initial results in terms of grade and width of uranium is very pleasing and augurs well for future drilling.

Original one metre samples are being collected for assay and will be reported when results are received from the laboratory.

The Company’s ASX-listed shares are 19c in early morning trade.

About the Diamond Drilling

The host lithologies consist of graphitic and hematitic shales with some interbedded siltstones. Uranium mineralisation is associated with narrow, aplitic intrusives into the sedim, the wet season’s onset may postpone the current program’s completionterial for the mineralogical analysis of uranium minerals. When considered with historical exploration work, the latest drilling confirms the continuity and width of the mineralised zones. Kingsland will now design future programs with confidence that the mineralisation extends at depth and displays strike continuity.
