DMC Mining (ASX:DMM) peg ‘Kambalda Style’ opportunity
July 27, 2023Critical metals explorer DMC Mining has pegged advanced ‘Kambalda Style’ tenements in the mineral-rich Tropicana Belt adjacent to the Fraser Range Complex in Western Australia.
The Red Knight and T34 complexes have shown potential for hosting large-scale sulphide mineralization with previous grades of up to 0.6% nickel.
Promising outcomes for hosting nickel sulphide have been observed through previous drilling, supported by unique magnetic and geochemical data.
The Albany Fraser orogeny’s geological history suggests mineral deposits beneath the Proterozoic layer due to its impact on the Archean Yilgarn region during the Proterozoic era.

DMC Executive Chairman David Sumich said the exploration licences had been lodged for the tenements previously showing promise for nickel sulphide-hosting lithologies supporting anomalous magnetic and geochemical data.
“We are excited to progress these tenements to granting and then follow up further exploration as soon as possible”, Mr Sumich said.
