Charger (ASX:CHR) continue thick spodumene strikes at Bynoe

Charger (ASX:CHR) continue thick spodumene strikes at Bynoe

July 27, 2023 0 By Tom Duggan

Charger Metals’ drilling at the Enterprise Prospect has intersected significant widths of spodumene-bearing pegmatite as drilling gets underway on other high-profile prospects within its Bynoe Lithium Project in Australia’s Northern Territory.

After intersecting pegmatites as wide as 24 metres, RC and diamond drilling at Enterprise will continue to test extensions of confirmed spodumene mineralisation, and drilling has now begun on 7Up, resting in the same prospective structural corridor as some of Core Lithium’s prized deposits.

Charger Managing Director Aidan Platel said it was pleasing to see the company’s spodumene discovery at Enterprise continue to grow, with new intercepts extending mineralisation both along strike and down-dip.

“The strike is now approximately 200m long, which is typical of the strike of the known lithium deposits in the region. The observed increased grain size and abundance of spodumene in diamond hole CBYD003 is suggesting a potential increase in lithium grade at depth, and we look forward to continuing to test the depth extensions with further diamond drill-holes,” Mr Platel said.

“Parallel to the drilling at Enterprise we are continuing to drill-test the many priority lithium targets within our tenure, beginning with the 7Up Prospect, and we look forward to seeing the results of the drilling over the coming weeks,” he added.

Next steps

Holes from RC drilling over Enterprise have been submitted for assay, expected back in four to six weeks, and Charger will also be drill-testing newly identified targets among a score now revealed at Bynoe.

The Kraken and Bunbury prospects are two of the more high-profile targets earmarked for drilling, defined by multiple pegmatite outcrops and historical tin-tantalum workings, as Charger begin systematically testing all areas, beginning with the top ranks of lithium prospectivity.

The lithium land grab appears to be just getting started as Charger burrow into Bynoe, holding two large LCT-prospective corridors and significant strike lengths primed for drilling in Australia’s top end.
