Bryah (ASX:BYH) data adds gravitas at Copper Hills South

Bryah (ASX:BYH) data adds gravitas at Copper Hills South

February 28, 2023 0 By Rueben Hale

Bryah Resources’ review of historical drilling and exploration results has highlighted the potential for new copper-nickel (Cu-Ni) discovery at its Copper Hills South prospect, part of the Company’s Gabanintha Project in Western Australia’s emerging Gascoyne Region.

The close-spaced survey revealed a significantly more significant amount of copper anomalism than initially found in 2013, including differing intervals within hole GRC1152, including 6 metres (34-40m) @ 0.27% Cu, 7 metres (45-52m) @ 0.20% Cu and 4 metres (149-153m) @ 0.22% Cu.

The Copper Hills South Prospect lies just south of the Copper Hills Prospect, currently being explored by Peak Minerals Limited (ASX: PUA).

Bryah CEO Ashley Jones said the open copper mineralisation is exciting based on previous assays showing bottom-of-hole mineralisation up to 1.8% Cu.

He said RC drilling would commence in the new target areas as early as possible in this year’s second half.

“We see very attractive fundamentals in the copper market through the transition to electrification –hence Bryah’s geological team started re-assessing our Gabanintha tenements’ copper potential,” Mr Jones said.

“A review of 2013 drill data showed great prospectivity south of Copper Hills.

A ground magnetic survey was completed to understand better the 2013 geological interpretation, which targeted a deep Induced Polarisation anomaly at the Copper Hills South project.

“The highlight of the previous drilling was 2m at 2.1% Cu and was partly intersected mineralisation over multiple intersections above 0.2% Cu.

“The combined historical data and the newly acquired ground magnetics have been used to define our new drill targets.”

Previous Exploration

In 2012, Australian Vanadium Limited (AVL) (formerly named Yellow Rock Resources Limited) completed a HELITEM helicopter-borne electromagnetic (EM) and magnetic survey over the Gabanintha Project. The geophysical survey aimed to understand better the distribution of the structures and lithological units in the bedrock, define the location and extent of bedrock conductors, identify areas for potential mineralisation, and conduct quantitative geological modelling of the layered gabbro within the project area.
