Cavalier Resources (ASX:CVR) unearths significant titanium discovery at Ella’s Rock
September 11, 2024Cavalier Resources (ASX:CVR) recent drilling at Ella’s Rock is making waves in the exploration sector, with promising results emerging from their maiden aircore program.
The standout achievement comes from drill hole ERAC035, which intercepted 15 metres at 3.15% titanium, including a peak of 4.37% titanium at 24 metres.
This high-grade titanium discovery sets the stage for a project with significant potential in Western Australia’s Forrestania Greenstone Belt.
Beyond the titanium discovery, Ella’s Rock shows clear multi-commodity potential.
The project’s broader exploration program is also focused on lithium, caesium, and tantalum (LCT) mineralisation, reflecting the site’s diverse resource opportunities.
“We are pleased with the results so far, which have confirmed significant titanium grades in addition to the LCT potential,” said Cavalier Resources Executive Technical Director and CEO Daniel Tuffin.
Furthermore, the recent soil sampling campaign at Ella’s Rock North revealed four new anomalous areas, with peak titanium values reaching 0.79%.
These discoveries only add to the project’s significance, reinforcing Cavalier’s strategy to expand its resource base.
While these findings are promising, Cavalier remains focused on deepening its understanding of the site’s geology.
Further lithogeochemical analysis is currently underway to interpret the full extent of the titanium anomaly and its relationship to other minerals in the region.
Tuffin shared the company’s excitement, stating, “We are excited by this discovery and look forward to advancing our understanding of the geological framework of the greater Ella’s Rock project area”.
As exploration efforts continue, all eyes are on Cavalier Resources to see how they will capitalise on these discoveries.
With high-grade titanium intercepts and the potential for valuable LCT mineralisation, the Ella’s Rock project is rapidly emerging as a key player in Western Australia’s critical minerals sector.
The next phase of exploration is expected to bring further clarity and potentially unlock even greater resource opportunities.
