Cavalier Resources (ASX:CVR) completes heritage surveys at Crawford ahead of site preparation
June 3, 2026Cavalier Resources has completed all heritage surveys across the Stage 1 operational area of the Crawford Gold Project in partnership with the Wangkatja Tjungula Aboriginal Corporation (WTAC).
The surveys included the access road corridor and have been completed ahead of site preparation works, which the company stated will now commence as Crawford advances toward the next stage of planned activities.

The update follows the execution of the Native Title Agreement announced on 22 December 2025, with Cavalier and WTAC continuing to work collaboratively since execution of the agreement to advance Crawford toward site preparation and future development activities.
According to the company, all heritage surveys have now been completed across several priority areas associated with planned site preparation and future development works for Stage 1, including proposed infrastructure corridors and future site activity areas.
The surveys were completed collaboratively with WTAC representatives and form part of the ongoing heritage management framework established under the Native Title and Mining Agreement.
In parallel with these activities, both parties continue to engage on country in relation to cultural heritage preservation, environmental management and future site activities as Crawford advances toward site preparation works.
The company stated that site preparation works will comprise heritage preservation activities and collaborative site works.
Cavalier Executive Technical Director and CEO Daniel Tuffin commented on the completion of the heritage surveys.
“Since the execution of the Native Title and Mining Agreement, all heritage surveys have now been successfully completed together with WTAC across all Stage 1 operational areas, marking another important step toward the commencement of operations at Crawford.”
The company stated that both parties continue to work closely together as Crawford advances through site preparation works ahead of planned pre production and heap leach development activities targeted for Q3.
Following completion of the site preparation works, and subject to final approvals, Cavalier intends to progress to the next stage of development at Crawford, including pre production and heap leach development activities targeted for Q3.
Cavalier also stated that it will continue working with WTAC toward the commencement of pre production activities following site preparation, including heap leach pad development and broader site establishment works currently targeted for Q3.
