Voltaic (ASX:VSR) begin Phase 3 at Ti Tree Lithium
August 14, 2023Voltaic Strategic Resources starts phase 3 RC drilling at the Ti Tree project in Western Australia. They will explore untested lithium-caesium-tantalum targets over 3500m.
Voltaic Strategic Resources is investigating the Morpheus, Akira, and Lewis prospects in areas with significant surface anomalies. The latter two are in the ‘Goldilocks zone’ and have produced high-quality intercepts.
The drilling will also explore the Andrada Prospect.
CEO Michael Walshe reports rapid progress in the exploration program.
“The RC drill rig being employed has the capacity to drill deeper than previous campaigns allowing us to thoroughly examine the extents of the pegmatite swarms at each prospect and potentially vector to mineralisation at depth and under cover” Mr Walshe said.
“Additionally, airborne drone magnetic / radiometric and photogrammetry surveys are planned to commence at the project in October which will assist with further target generation,” he added.
“Investors can expect steady news flow from the Ti Tree project over the coming months, with regular drilling updates and assay results to be released as available as we systematically advance through testing of the 18 priority target areas within the large tenement package.”
Forward plan
Drilling will cover just a few of 18 priority target areas and an extensive number of mapped pegmatites at Ti Tree, and several more outcropping pegmatites have beckoned further exploration, with mapping, rock chip sampling and soil surveys all underway as Voltaic prime up more prospects to hit with the drill.
The company’s coffers are full after securing $4.1 million in investor backing to accelerate over both Ti Tree and a rare earth project at Paddy’s Well, where initial metallurgy has revealed rare earth-enriched clays that can be efficiently processed upstream.
Both projects rest in the Gascoyne, the West Australian region making its case as the state’s hottest critical minerals jurisdiction and Voltaic have a busy year of drilling ahead, with the Trinity and Lithos prospects next to come from a long pipeline of LCT targets.
