Tennant (ASX:TMS) drill for a triple at Bluebird
September 1, 2023Tennant Minerals will soon launch the next phase of Stage 3 drilling at the Bluebird Copper-Gold Discovery, following up on thick, shallow results and a strike-length now tripled by new geophysics at its Barkly Project in the Northern Territory.
The new phase, targeting immediate extensions and new targets across a strike now standing at 1. 5 kilometres, follows the high-end strikes which confirmed continuity of mineralisation in the eastern discovery zone.
New priority targets at Blue Bird East and Bluebird West modelled through IP resistivity survey data hold the potential to triple the extent of mineralisation at the discovery, which remains open in all directions.
Both prospects represent coincident IP resistivity low and gravity high targets which could present as potential repeats of the Bluebird discovery.
The last batch of results, returning strikes of 12.5m @ 2.0% copper equivalent from 119.1m downhole and 14.4m @ 1.4% CuEq from 73m downhole, confirmed high-grade copper-gold continuity over a 500 metres of strike length and to within 60m to 80m of surface.
And Tennant will aim to back that up with up to 4000 metres of drilling over a now-tripled strike length and has assay results coming in from another seven holes within the next three weeks.
The new round of drilling is expected to fire up within the fortnight, with Tennant looking to triple up on a Bluebird discovery and define its resource potential.
