
South32 (ASX: S32) gets WA coal import go ahead
September 16, 2022South32 will be allowed to import coal into Western Australia, following confirmation from the WA government it would not stand in the way despite ruling imports out three years ago.
The government have reversed a decision ruling out coal imports three years ago following Griffin Coal going into receivership earlier this week, leaving a short supply to South32’s Worsley alumina refinery and the Bluewaters Power plant.
The Company’s ASX shares will open at $4.
