Nordic Resources (ASX:NNL) reports new drilling results at Kopsa

June 16, 2026 Off By MarketOpen

Nordic Resources has reported assay results from the first two holes of its Spring 2026 drill program at the Kopsa gold-copper project in the Middle Ostrobothnia Gold Belt of central Finland.

The holes were drilled at the northern contact to test for continuities to the higher-grade zone discovered in hole NRKOP25012B at the end of 2025 and included the highest gold assay result recorded in the Kopsa database.

Highlights

  • Hole NRKOP26024 returned 70.8m @ 2.90g/t Au, 0.13% Cu (3.04g/t AuEq) and 3g/t Ag from 207.4m
  • Including 8.4m @ 20.08g/t Au, 0.05% Cu (20.13g/t AuEq) and 3g/t Ag from 221.8m
  • Including 1.2m @ 105.50g/t Au, 0.19% Cu (105.71g/t AuEq) and 12g/t Ag from 229.0m
  • 1.2m @ 105.50g/t Au is the highest gold assay grade recorded in the Kopsa database
  • Hole NRKOP26025 returned multiple reported intersections including 34.7m @ 0.65g/t Au, 0.14% Cu (0.80g/t AuEq) from 179.5m
  • Further drilling results and metallurgical test work results are expected by end July 2026

Nordic Resources reported results from two diamond drill holes totalling 592m completed as part of its Spring 2026 drill program at Kopsa. Hole NRKOP26024 was drilled approximately 50m below hole NRKOP25012B on the same section, while hole NRKOP26025 was drilled on a section located approximately 100m to the east.

According to the announcement, both holes were drilled to test potential strike and depth extensions to gold-copper mineralisation located near the northern footwall contact of the host tonalite intrusion.

Hole NRKOP26024 returned 70.8m @ 2.90g/t Au, 0.13% Cu (3.04g/t AuEq) and 3g/t Ag from 207.4m, including 8.4m @ 20.08g/t Au, 0.05% Cu (20.13g/t AuEq) and 3g/t Ag from 221.8m, and including 1.2m @ 105.50g/t Au, 0.19% Cu (105.71g/t AuEq) and 12g/t Ag from 229.0m.

The company stated that 1.2m @ 105.50g/t Au represents the highest gold assay grade recorded in the Kopsa database.

Hole NRKOP26025 returned reported intersections including 20.0m @ 0.67g/t Au, 0.18% Cu (0.87g/t AuEq) from 31.2m, 34.7m @ 0.65g/t Au, 0.14% Cu (0.80g/t AuEq) from 179.5m and 24.5m @ 0.65g/t Au, 0.20% Cu (0.87g/t AuEq) from 230.2m.

The company stated that both holes intersected wide zones of significant gold-copper mineralisation lying at or near the northern footwall contact and located well outside the current Mineral Resource Estimate boundary.

Nordic Resources Executive Director Robert Wrixon said:

“The excellent intersection from hole 024 confirms that the Central Zone is not the only higher-grade zone at Kopsa and supports the Company’s long-held view that, while Kopsa is already a large deposit, the exploration upside remains significant. In this case, these eye-catching assay results are not only important for what they are, but also where they are, indicating potential continuity to the northern higher-grade zone discovered at the end of 2025.”

The announcement states that hole NRKOP26024 was drilled as a step-back hole approximately 60m behind hole NRKOP25012B along the same profile in order to intersect the footwall contact approximately 50m below the earlier hole.

The company also stated that the higher-grade intersection reported in hole NRKOP26024 is located 60m from the higher-grade zone reported in hole NRKOP25012B at a similar vertical depth of around 150m.

Kopsa currently hosts a near-surface JORC (2012) compliant resource comprising Measured, Indicated and Inferred categories of 23.2Mt @ 1.09g/t AuEq for 814,800oz AuEq.

The announcement states that further assay results from an additional nine holes drilled as part of the Spring 2026 program, together with results from the Kopsa metallurgical test program, should be available by end July 2026.

The company stated that it intends to compile the new information into an updated resource statement for Kopsa in Q3 2026.
