Voltaic (ASX:VSR) set to mirror success at Ti Tree
November 30, 2022Voltaic Strategic Resources has interpreted lithium targets bearing stark similarity to Red Dirt Metals (ASX:RDT) recent visibly sizeable spodumene discovery at its Yinnatharra/Malinda site neighbouring Voltaic’s Ti Tree project in Western Australia’s Gascoyne.
Hyperspectral surveying has shed light on interpreted pegmatite swarms bearing kindred geological signatures to the Red Dirt discovery, triggering immediate plans by the Voltaic team to interrogate these “lookalike” targets.
“We are highly encouraged by the fact that all targets along strike from Malinda mineralisation and overlay interpreted ‘Goldilocks’ zone,” Managing Director Michael Walshe said.
“Ground truthing of priority target areas commencing this week with shallow auger-vacuum drilling campaign to commence in December to test priority target.”
Price Action
The Company’s ASX-listed shares have risen 19.05 per cent to 2.5c in early morning trade.
About the Ti Tree Project
Ti Tree resides within an interpreted prospective corridor of LCT-bearing pegmatites (the ‘Volta’ corridor), which contains the Yinnietharra/Malinda lithium discovery, and is underlain by the Thirty-Three Supersuite (TTS) – a belt of plutons comprised primarily of granitoids (see Figure 1 above). Fertile LCT pegmatites in the region have been observed to lie within ~0‒5 km of source granite intrusions and appear controlled by both faults within the host metasediments and fractionation. Voltaic would like to acknowledge Segue Resources’ pioneering work in demonstrating the fertility of the TTS for lithium‐bearing minerals and how its fractionation is comparable to world‐class lithium deposits such as Pilgangoora and Tanco.
