Greenvale Energy (ASX:GRV) advances high priority uranium target at Elkedra ahead of 2025 fieldwork

Greenvale Energy is progressing early stage exploration across its Northern Territory uranium assets, with recent airborne survey results highlighting a compelling walk-up target at Elkedra.

In this Q&A with Greenvale CEO Alex Cheeseman, we unpack the significance of the uranium anomaly, the strategic potential of the regional paleochannel, and the next steps as the company prepares for fieldwork in the September quarter of 2025.

Why is the uranium anomaly at Elkedra such a stand-out target?

“The anomaly extends over approximately eight kilometres and was detected in a recent high resolution airborne magnetics and radiometrics survey flown at 100 metre line spacing”.

Early modelling shows a strong spatial link with the Elkedra Granite, which is interpreted as the uranium source, the anomaly sits close to a key unconformity between Cambrian sediments and underlying Proterozoic rocks.

That structural and stratigraphic setting is well recognised in similar world class uranium systems, and the radiometric signature shows highly anomalous uranium values and strong uranium to thorium ratios, making Elkedra an exceptional walk-up exploration opportunity.

How does the thirty-two-kilometre paleochannel connecting Douglas River and Jindare improve the project outlook?

The paleochannel provides a continuous sandstone host that can concentrate and trap uranium bearing fluids over a very large distance, and the projects sit within the Pine Creek region, one of the world’s most productive uranium provinces.

“The presence of a continuous paleochannel between Douglas River and Jindare upgrades the outlook from isolated anomalies to a potential regional scale system with multiple possible deposition sites”.

What are the next steps and when will shareholders see boots on the ground?

We are currently finalising detailed modelling and interpretation of the airborne data, that said, the Elkedra target is clear to see, and planning and permitting for ground activities are already in train.

Our current schedule has us on site in the September quarter of calendar year 2025, and we are looking at opportunities to accelerate.

“Initial field work will likely include ground scintillometer traverses over the airborne anomalies, detailed geological mapping to refine structural interpretations, and systematic soil and rock chip sampling to confirm uranium grades at surface.”

Where do permitting and tenure stand for the upcoming work in the Territory?

Elkedra is held under exploration licence 33756 and Douglas River under exploration licence 33670, and Greenvale holds an 80 percent interest in each licence following their grant in 2024; both licences run through to 2030.

We are already working through the standard Northern Territory permitting process for field work, and we do not foresee any tenure or access impediments to commencing fieldwork in the September quarter.

How do these Northern Territory results fit into Greenvale’s broader growth strategy?

Greenvale Energy is focused on developing its portfolio of assets and ultimately building out a resource base that can be brought into production.

The Northern Territory uranium projects are complementary to our more advanced Oasis uranium project along with our geothermal and torbanite interests in Queensland.

Our exploration upside potential is all leveraged to uranium and Elkedra is a clear priority in the Territory.

Looking ahead

The Elkedra and Douglas River projects are shaping up as valuable additions to Greenvale’s broader portfolio, which includes uranium, geothermal, and torbanite interests.

With permitting underway and groundwork on track, the company’s focus remains on building out a pipeline of exploration success and resource development opportunities across key jurisdictions.
