Forrestania (ASX:FRS) awaken lithium Giant

April 24, 2023 0 By Rueben Hale

Forrestania Resources has aroused sizable high-grade lithium potential lying dormant at its exciting Giant prospect, part of the Company’s exploration quest across 100 kilometres of prospective strike at its namesake project in Western Australia’s south.

High-grade lithium intercepted for 10m @ 1.49% Li2O from 74m, including 2m @ 2.64% Li2O and exceptional tantalum grades of 4m @ 1,106 ppm Ta from 45m, including 1m at 2,870ppm Ta from 46m at Giant has invigorated confidence of making significant new discoveries.

“It’s always exciting to drill high-grade intersections,” Forrestania Managing Director Michael Anderson said.

“We are confident there is potential for more at Giant, and indeed elsewhere, as we continue to systematically test our high priority anomalies and targets.

“There is certainly have plenty more to do to ensure that we do justice to the demonstrable prospectivity at Forrestania, and it is obvious to me after only a few weeks in the role that our team is well equipped to do that.

“We look forward to keeping shareholders informed as work progresses.”

Meanwhile, confirmation that South Iron Cap East is part of a “highly fertile” LCT pegmatite system based on anomalous lithium assay results and favourable geochemistry has warranted further exploration and testing of several high-priority targets across the Forrestania project area.

Follow-up drill programmes are also planned to extend the high-grade zone at the Giant Pegmatite.
