Forrestania (ASX:FRS) show more promising signs at South Iron Cap East
August 21, 2023Forrestania Resources has continued unearthing signs of significant lithium discovery at its South Iron Cap East prospect, part of the Forrestania Project in Western Australia.
The latest RC drilling results confirm shallow spodumene-bearing mineralisation of 5m @ 0.55% Li2O from 41m, including 2m @ 0.95% from 43m.
Forrestania Managing Director Michael Anderson said approvals are in place for follow-up imminent drilling to test extensions of spodumene-bearing intercept down dip and deeper into fresh rock.
“Our systematic exploration at Forrestania continues to deliver positive results. We are encouraged not only by the intersections of spodumene but also the lithium grades at Giant, and now South Iron Cap East,” Mr Anderson said.
“This demonstrates the potential for these pegmatite systems to host ore-grade mineralisation.
“We will be drilling again shortly at South Iron Cap East to test for extensions of the mineralisation and to gain further insight into the geometry of this highly prospective pegmatite system.”
Meanwhile, further high-grade lithium hits the nearby Giant pegmatite, including 9m @ 0.95% Li2O from 114m, including 3m @ 2.23% from 118m.
