Dynamic (ASX:DYM) raise the grade at Widgiemooltha

May 2, 2023 0 By Rueben Hale

Dynamic Metals have boosted already robust first-pass results from Dordie Far West. Resampling and multi-element analysis brought in high nickel and anomalous cobalt grades up to 0.5 per cent as the company tests for a Kambalda deposit model at the Widgiemooltha Project in the Goldfields region of Western Australia.

The thick widths and high-grade tenor compared favourably with historic drilling and have now validated the potential for discoveries across the exploration portfolio of the fully funded Jindalee Resources spinout.

Widgiemooltha already held the potential for lithium, nickel, and gold. The return of cobalt at potential economic levels raises multi-commodity interest after an enviable first-pass swoop on the project’s nickel potential.

Updated drill intersections with results from 1m RC samples include:

  • 16m @ 1.96% Ni from 27m downhole, incl. 5m @ 2.84% Ni
  • 6m @ 1.60% Ni from 29m downhole, incl. 1m @ 2.07% Ni
  • 6m @ 1.15% Ni from 39m downhole
  • 15m @ 1.56% Ni from 48m downhole, incl. 3m @ 2.06% Ni & 1m @ 2.71% Ni
  • 3m @ 1.45% Ni from 30m downhole

“Returning thick and high-grade nickel intersections from our first five holes is an outstanding result from our maiden drill program at DFW.”

“This is an excellent start to our first exploration campaign and we will prioritise our follow-up drill program, with an aim to further extend these intercepts at the Widgiemooltha Project,” – Dynamic Managing Director Karen Wellman

It is the first of four fully permitted drill campaigns at Widgiemooltha. Dynamic has submitted the POW for two more RC holes directed at intercepting nickel in fresh rock at the prospect’s southern end. It has wrapped up drilling at Lake Percy as it explores for nickel and lithium near Lake Johnston, 60 kilometres away from the top-end Earl Grey deposit.
