Dreadnought (ASX:DRE) finds Orion doppelganger
June 20, 2023Dreadnought Resources surveying has found striking similarities between its Tarraji-Yampi project and its high-grade Orion discovery in Western Australia’s Kimberley region.
The Auger sampling programs found a consistent geochemical signature in 14 holes, while the FLEM survey detected conductive bodies connected to six strong coincident conductors and three moderate to weak conductors.
In 2022, an auger sampling process detected a distinct chemical composition in the region of Orion, with 14 holes revealing comparable outcomes.
Recent auger results from the FLEM survey have identified 14 high-quality targets with similar signatures to Orion.
Six of these targets have coinciding geochemical, magnetic, and strong conductor anomalies, with 3 showing mineralisation.

Three moderate to weak conductors with coinciding geochemical anomalies have also been found, including Thunderer North, which has an outcropping mineralized vein.
“Tarraji-Yampi had been unexplored for over 50 years before becoming Dreadnought’s original flagship project upon listing in 2019,” Dreadnought’s Managing Director Dean Tuck said.
Since the Orion discovery in 2021, Dreadnought has significantly enhanced this unexplored region’s geological, geochemical and geophysical understanding.
This has resulted in fourteen geochemical and geophysical anomalies hosted within prospective litho structural settings similar to the known massive sulphide mineralization at Orion and vein-hosted mineralization at Grant’s.
With our new understandings and datasets now available, it is worth highlighting that several of these anomalies are more robust, more significant and higher tenor than those over Orion.

RC and diamond drilling are to commence in August / September 2023.
