Critical Resources (ASX:CRR) tap more near surface spodumene
April 18, 2023Critical Resources have intercepted multiple spodumene-bearing pegmatites near the surface of Mavis Lake amid preparations for the imminent release of its Candian lithium project estimate in Ontario.
Targeted infill and extension drilling at the project’s Main Zone and South Zone have easily met expectations with standout intercepts of up to 10.65 metres of spodumene mineralisation beginning just 3 metres below the surface.
Critical Resources Managing Director Alex Cheeseman said the confirmation of near-surface intercepts is extremely pleasing.
“Firstly near-surface mineralisation supports the mining component of our ongoing studies into development pathways for Mavis Lake,” Mr Cheeseman said.
“Secondly the intercepts reinforce and validate modelling work completed as part of the MRE
process.“This further boosts our confidence with the MRE work completed over the last few months.”
Next steps
With the release of the maiden estimate so soon, these intercepts will likely form part of a future resource upgrade.
The company is awaiting assays from samples collected from over 38 more individual drill holes as it advances multiple studies and key tasks to continue progressing the project.
