Critical Minerals (ASX:CMG) kickoff timely scoping at Lindfield

May 31, 2023 0 By Tom Duggan

Critical Minerals has hired a contractor to guide the company through the scoping study and upcoming stages of development for its flagship Lindfield Vanadium Project in Northwest Queensland.

The study, supported by Wave International, Stanand tec, and Measured Group, includes mineral resource analysis, pit design, and processing design.

The upcoming upgrade will include a substantial increase in resources, with a 73% tonnage boost and a 10% increase in grade. The new total is 363 million tonnes, with 254 million tonnes indicated at 0.43% V2O5. A new enriched zone has also been identified in the shallow, oxidised area, containing 128mt @0.48% V2O5.

The Managing Director of Critical Minerals, Scott Drelincourt, says the scoping should conclude as early as the next financial quarter, bringing exciting advancements in high-purity alumina (HPA) by utilising Aluminium oxide feedstock.

“I am very pleased to inform our shareholders that we are well advanced on our development timeline at Lindfield Vanadium Project and this Scoping Study has commenced almost a year earlier than we’d anticipated at the time of IPO and outlined in our prospectus.” Mr Drelincourt said.

“The scoping study is another positive milestone for CMG, and I look forward to bringing the results of this Study to shareholders, anticipated in the third quarter this year.”
