Codrus hits widespread REEs at Karloning

September 19, 2023 0 By Rueben Hale

Codrus Minerals‘ first drilling has intersected 29m @ 5,919ppm TREYO as part of its 80-hole air-core program at the Karloning REE Project in Western Australia.

Hole KGAC054 highlighted the scale of exceptional mineralisation through the clays and into saprock material.

The standout intercept of 29m at 5,915ppm TREYO from 12m included 4m grading 12,366pmm (1.2%) from 24m.

HIGHLIGHTS

  • 20m grading 1,554ppm TREYO from 8m, including 4m grading 2,014ppm TREYO from 18m (KGAC057)
  • 14m grading 1,423ppm TREYO from 12m, including 2m grading 1,931ppm TREYO from 16m (KGAC058)
  • 10m grading 1,812ppm TREYO from 8m, including 2m grading 2,194ppm TREYO from 16m (KGAC060)
  • 10m grading 1,540ppm TREYO from 14m (KGAC016)
  • 12m grading 1,337ppm TREYO from 6m, including 2m grading 2,156ppm TREYO from 8m (KGAC009)

The company said the results have considerable potential given that only ~6% of Codrus’s total land position has been drill-tested.

“Significantly, up to 24% of the mineralisation is contained in the high-value REE, which is critical in the supply chain for manufacturing magnets (MREO) for electric motors,” the company said.

In-demand magnet rare earth oxides, including Neodymium (Nd), Praseodymium (Pr), Dysprosium (Dy) and Terbium (Tb), add further significance to the discovery.
