Cazaly (ASX:CAZ) moves on REE ‘hotspot’
August 2, 2023Cazaly Resources has acquired over 1,000km2 of land in the Gascoyne Province of Western Australia which shows potential for rare earth elements (REE) and base metals.
This huge land grab includes mineralisation associated with the Lyons River Fault, which has produced projects such as Hasting’s Yangibana and Dreadnought’s Yin sites.
The ground consists of six tenements that make up the Lyons Project, a highly promising package of land in the Bangemall Basin.

Lyons Project Location within the Bangemall Basin.
Cazaly pegged four of the tenements around the Lyons River Fault and Talga Fault, with one of the four already granted.
Cazaly Resources Managing Director Tara French said the Lyons River Fault is considered to be the conduit for mineralised fluids that formed the ferrocarbonatites which are host to the world-class Yangibana and Yin REE deposits.
“The structural complexity around the Lyons River Fault highlights the potential for further discoveries along this structure,” Ms French said.
“This package represents an excellent opportunity with only limited historical exploration for lead, zinc, and manganese.
“A reconnaissance field trip has been planned to determine the best exploration methods to apply to this area to advance the project and delineate REE targets early.“
