Cavalier (ASX:CVR) heap gold at Crawford
October 9, 2023Cavalier Resources testwork has returned up to 92.5% gold extraction at its Crawford Gold project.
The recoveries, ranging from 77.4% to remarkably high grades are likely to be at low cost due to low cyanide consumption.
Low doses of cement required for aggregation and percolation, minimal need for lime and cyanide, and mineral crushing will likely reduce production costs.
“These results far exceed our prior assumptions for heap leach recoveries, extraction rates and operating costs for the gold-bearing oxides at the Crawford Gold project,” Executive Technical Director Daniel Tuffin said.
They confirm and validate the Company’s decision to pause the Pre-Feasibilty Study to review the potential of processing ore on-site, removing the need to rely on third-party mills in the greater Leonora area to enable the generation of future cash flows for further development and exploration activities.”
Heap Leach Test Work Summary:
Six reverse circulation composite samples, weighing a total of 570 kilograms, were supplied to ALS representing various weathering, oxidation and rock types that occur within the oxidised portion of the Crawford gold resource.
