Carbonxt (ASX:CG1) eye production in Kentucky
November 15, 2023Australian-listed carbon producer Carbonxt will likely begin commissioning its state-of-the-art activated carbon facility in Kentucky following a flurry of construction activity.
The on-budget facility will enter commissioning production in January next year into a ready-made water filtration market in the US.
This follows the milestone payment of US$500,000 for processing equipment as part of a joint venture deal with the company’s US development partner.
Meanwhile, offtake is expanding the facility’s production outlook following promising demand indications from current and potential customers.
An interview with Dr. David Mazyck, alongside providing details on recent construction activity and the Company’s near-term sales outlook, is available at this link.
“The proposed plant is expected to generate initial production rates of 10,000 tons per annum of high-grade activated carbon products, with the capacity to expand to 20,000 tons,” Carbonxt CEO Dr. Regina Rodriguez said.
