Cooper (ASX:CPM) get deep potential at Ardmore

Cooper Metals has deepened high prospectivity to the tune of at least 200 metres below-surface at its Ardmore South prospect, part of the Company’s Ardmore tenement within the Mt Isa East Copper-Gold Project in northwest Queensland.

Induced Polarisation (IP) survey and rock chip sampling delivered assays up to 14.9 g/t gold and 22.4% copper at the exciting prospect.

The pole-dipole line surveyed across the centre of the high chargeability zone remains open at depth below 200 metres, strikingly coincident with copper-gold mineralisation and backed by high-grade grabs.

Cooper Managing Director Ian Warland said the results validate the effort it has put into the area and made its new Mt Isa drill target all the more enticing.

“I am also encouraged and continue to be impressed by the high-grade nature and extent of the geochemical results,” Mr Warland said.

“The Company is focussing on completing the logistical and regulatory approvals in order to drill Ardmore South ASAP and will continue to update the market with the progress.”

High-grade grabs also came in from Ardmore North, returning assays up to 14.5 per cent copper and 4.5 grams per tonne gold and highlighting more potential in a Queensland district the state government is directing cash towards to claim another world-class discovery, with Cooper Metals the beneficiary of a $137,500 grant to support its efforts.
