Cazaly Resources (ASX:CAZ) completes gravity imaging across Sir Laurence gold prospect

June 10, 2026 Off By MarketOpen

Cazaly Resources has successfully completed a high-resolution ground gravity survey over the Sir Laurence gold prospect, part of its Goongarrie Gold Project in Western Australia’s Eastern Goldfields.

The survey, covering a 3.3km x 3.3km area at Lake Goongarrie, represents a significant step in refining geological understanding over a historically prospective gold district located approximately 90km north of Kalgoorlie.

Highlights

  • High-resolution ground gravity survey completed over 3.3km x 3.3km at Sir Laurence, Lake Goongarrie
  • 3D density inversion modelling and litho-boundary mapping reveal subsurface geological unit orientation
  • Supports prior structural interpretations of major shear zones associated with gold mineralisation
  • Results integrated into geological model to refine drill targeting and advance exploration
  • Purpose-built lake air core rig secured, drilling scheduled to commence in August 2026

The survey, conducted by Atlas Geophysics during April 2026, acquired 1,322 gravity stations using Scintrex gravimeters, with field crews operating on quad bikes.

Stations were spaced at 50m along 200m line separations, with an infill area in the south-central portion of the survey measured at 50m x 100m spacing.

Thirty-five repeat readings representing approximately 2.65% of the observations returned an average standard deviation of 8μGal, confirming the quality and reliability of the dataset.

Nordic Geoscience Pty Ltd processed and interpreted the data using multi-scale edge detection, commonly referred to as “worming,” to delineate density-based litho-boundaries at depths ranging from 25m to 800m, with a smooth 3D inversion of the residual gravity data producing a density contrast model across the survey area.

The model highlights an N-S striking gravity high through the survey centre, with a jog coincident with anomalous gold at Sir Laurence and a northwest structural feature trending through Gorilla Gold’s Lakeview deposit, aligning with broader geological patterns observed in Geoscience Australia’s national gravity dataset.

Cazaly Managing Director Tara French stated:

“The gravity survey at Lake Goongarrie has provided clear information on the orientation of geological units beneath the lake sediments, and supports the structural interpretations derived from the reprocessed aeromagnetics. The data quality is excellent, and Nordic Geoscience’s processing has given us an entirely new lens through which to view the geology beneath the lake,”

The survey results have been incorporated with existing aeromagnetic, geochemical, and drilling datasets to refine Cazaly’s geological model and drill targeting strategy.

The company has secured a purpose-built lake air core rig to commence the initial phase of drilling across key structures at Lake Goongarrie, with operations scheduled for August 2026.

The Goongarrie Gold Project covers 70km² of greenstone sequence within the Kalgoorlie Terrain and includes twelve kilometres of the Bardoc Tectonic Zone, the northern extension of the Boulder-Lefroy Shear Zone.

Historical and recent exploration within the district, including ASX: GG8 Comet Vale resource updates, confirms the high potential for near-surface, high-grade gold mineralisation.

By integrating gravity imaging with aeromagnetic interpretation and historical drilling, Cazaly is positioned to advance systematic exploration and improve targeting efficiency across this prospective gold province.
