Diablo Resources (ASX:DBO) confirms multiple high grade silver antimony copper systems at Star Range
January 15, 2026Diablo Resources has reported further high grade surface assay results from its 100% owned Star Range Project in southwestern Utah, confirming the presence of multiple silver, antimony, copper and gold mineralised systems and extending known trends while defining new prospect areas ahead of its maiden drilling program.
The latest reconnaissance sampling builds on results released in late 2025 and continues to demonstrate the scale and grade potential of structurally controlled polymetallic mineralisation within a well established mining district.

The Star Range Project is located approximately 6 km west of Milford in Beaver County, Utah, and comprises 186 unpatented lode claims covering 3,582 acres.
The project lies within the historically productive Star Range mineral belt, which has hosted lead, zinc, copper, gold and silver mining since the late 1800s, including the Horn Silver Mine that produced 17 Moz of silver, 25 Koz of gold and 9 Mlb of copper from a single claim prior to 1930.
Mineralisation at Star Range occurs within structurally controlled replacement, breccia and vein systems developed in Palaeozoic to Tertiary sediments intruded by granitic bodies, providing the geological framework for the polymetallic associations now being mapped and sampled.
At the priority North Star Prospect, recent sampling has extended mineralised trends for more than 3,000 m, with peak results including 880 g/t Ag and 0.6% Sb, 9.3 g/t Au with 399 g/t Ag, and copper grades up to 2.6%.
The mineralisation is associated with north easterly trending structures marked by historical shafts and adits and is supported by a historical soil silver anomaly extending for approximately 1,500 m.
These features, together with the presence of elevated gold, copper and antimony, underline the prospectivity of the breccia and vein systems and their potential continuity along strike.
South Star has now been traced for over 2,500 m along a north south structural corridor, where recent sampling from historical workings returned up to 230 g/t Ag, 0.6 g/t Au and 0.1% Sb.
This zone lies approximately 1,000 m north of areas where historical sampling reported grades up to 8,760 g/t Ag and greater than 1% Sb, with the mineralised trend remaining open and soil sampling underway to define its full extent.
The identification of new prospects has broadened the exploration footprint.
At East Star, skarn style mineralisation hosted in intrusive and sedimentary rocks has delivered peak results of 7.4% Cu, 300 g/t Ag and 1.4 g/t Au, with the majority of samples returning copper above 0.7%.
West Star has produced up to 692 g/t Ag and 1.4 g/t Au from calcite silica breccia and vein zones, while Silver Gulch has returned up to 199 g/t Ag and 496 ppm Sb along a mineralised trend now traced for more than 900 m.
No drilling has been undertaken at any of these prospects to date.
Diablo Resources Chief Executive Officer Lyle Thorne noted the implications of the latest results, stating that
“we have successfully extended mineralisation at our key prospects and, importantly, identified entirely new zones such as East Star, West Star and Silver Gulch, confirming the project hosts multiple polymetallic systems prospective for silver, copper and antimony.”
With airborne magnetic interpretation nearing completion and the drill permitting process now underway, Diablo is integrating geophysical, geochemical and geological datasets to refine structural architecture, intrusive relationships and mineralisation controls, and to prioritise drill ready targets, particularly at North Star.
The company is also continuing regional mapping and reconnaissance sampling to extend known trends and test newly identified prospects, as it advances the project toward first pass drilling within a Tier 1 mining jurisdiction supported by existing infrastructure and a skilled workforce.
