Black Canyon Limited (ASX:BCA) confirms high grade potential along 1.8km Wandanya South extension

November 26, 2025 Off By MarketOpen

Black Canyon Limited has released new assay results from recently acquired tenement E46/1571, directly south of its 3km Wandanya Discovery, with sampling indicating a potential 1.8 kilometre southern extension of high-grade manganese and iron mineralisation.

The results build on an intensive year of mapping, drilling and heritage survey activity across the broader Wandanya system.

Highlights

  • Rock chip assays up to 59.1 per cent Mn across a 400 metre continuation of the manganese rich horizon south of the W2 prospect.

  • Intermittent high-grade manganese and iron outcrops mapped over 1.8 kilometres of strike.

  • Iron assays up to 66.3 per cent Fe.

  • No previous manganese or iron exploration undertaken on E46/1571.

  • Heritage surveys scheduled for Q1 2026 to prepare for targeted drilling.

  • Diamond drilling program on the wider project 80 per cent complete with finalisation expected in early December.

The latest sampling program at Wandanya South follows the settlement of the new tenement E46/1571 earlier in November and marks the first systematic evaluation of its high-grade manganese and iron potential.

According to the release, the rock chip assays confirm that the manganese rich horizon observed at the W2 prospect on E46/1407 continues onto the new ground, initially across a 400 metre strike, with further intermittent high-grade occurrences mapped for an additional 1.8 kilometres.

The W2 prospect, which has been previously drill tested over 240 metres of strike and 200 metres in width, delivered consistent manganese intervals including 5 metres at 31.1 per cent Mn from surface and 6 metres at 29.6 per cent Mn from surface, results that provide a reference point for the newly identified southern continuation.

The mapped geology at Wandanya South is described as dipping shallowly to the east, influenced by northeast striking faults that dislocate the target horizon.

Although outcrops are less continuous than those to the north, the stratigraphy is interpreted as similar, comprising manganese rich horizons within a sequence of dolomite and calcareous siltstone.

Table 1 in the release lists manganese grades up to 59.1 per cent Mn and iron grades up to 66.3 per cent Fe, with samples consistently low in aluminium, silica and phosphorous.

The release notes that multiple hematite occurrences have been identified within Wandanya South, consistent with the established relationship between high-grade iron and manganese observed elsewhere within the system.

The Company has now completed its third heritage survey for the year, clearing the way for infill and extension drilling across the current 3 kilometre footprint and further step-out drilling to the north and east once the wet season concludes.

With heritage surveys scheduled for early 2026 and RC drilling planned to evaluate the newly identified manganese and iron horizons on E46/1571, Black Canyon continues to advance its understanding of what may represent a mineralised trend extending approximately 9 kilometres.

The current diamond drilling program is nearing completion, and further metallurgical test work is planned once the PQ3 core is submitted.

As the Company reduces field activities during the wet season, several pre-development tasks are set to progress, positioning the Wandanya system for an active first half of 2026.
