Diablo Resources (ASX:DBO) expands Star Range footprint as structural trends sharpen exploration focus
November 26, 2025Diablo Resources has moved to materially expand its ground position at the Star Range Silver Antimony Project in southwestern Utah, consolidating what is now a 186-claim package across approximately 3,582 acres as on-ground work continues to define structural and geological trends of interest.
The latest update points to a methodical, data driven approach to pursuing critical minerals targets within a historically productive district that has seen only sporadic modern exploration.
Highlights
- 82 new claims secured, taking the total to 186 across approximately 3,582 acres.
- New tenure captures extensions of high priority structural and geological trends.
- Multiple batches of samples currently at the laboratory with assays pending.
- Expanded on ground work incorporating targets aligned with airborne magnetic data.
- Historical rock sampling at Star Range includes bonanza silver grades up to 8,760 g/t Ag and antimony greater than 1 percent at surface.
- No drilling has been completed to date across the principal soil anomaly zones.
The new claims were staked after ongoing fieldwork identified further prospective structural corridors, supported by mapping, rock sampling and observations of historical activity such as dozer scrapes, shallow pits and old workings.
According to the imagery provided on page 2, these workings appear scattered across the additional ground, reinforcing the geological continuity sought by the company as it moves the project into a more integrated exploration phase.
Diablo Resources CEO, Lyle Thorne, said the identification of structural trends had driven the decision to secure additional acreage and place the company in a stronger position to pursue the project’s potential.
“The identification of prospective structural trends during our ongoing fieldwork has led to the staking of additional significant acreage to our existing landholding.”
The expanded tenure consolidates the project area into one contiguous package, capturing extensions of known mineralised trends shown in the overview maps on pages 2 and 4.
These maps highlight the north striking, east dipping sedimentary sequences and intruded granitic units typical of the Basin and Range geological setting, where structurally controlled systems have historically yielded lead, zinc, copper, gold and silver.
The nearby Horn Silver Mine highlights the historical strength of the district, having produced 17 million ounces of silver, 25 thousand ounces of gold and 9 million pounds of copper from a single 20 acre mining claim.
Located 15 kilometres northwest of Star Range, the operation extracted 835,000 tons between 1875 and 1952 at an average silver grade of 21.5 ounces per ton.
Historical sampling at Star Range presents a compelling reference point for ongoing exploration, with the South Star Prospect returning 8,760 g/t silver with more than 1 percent antimony alongside other high grade silver results including 1,190 g/t, 938 g/t and 1,110 g/t.
North Star has also yielded notable results, including 1,310 g/t, 1,380 g/t and 621 g/t silver with associated antimony.
Soil sampling has outlined large scale anomalies extending 1.5 kilometres at North Star and 400 metres at South Star, none of which have been drill tested to date.
With additional ground secured, Diablo intends to incorporate the new tenure into its ongoing exploration programs, supported by pending assays, updated geological modelling and integration of aeromagnetic data.
The work sits alongside drilling underway at the company’s Phoenix Copper Project, creating a busy operational pipeline centred on US critical minerals opportunities.
While still at an early stage, the expanded footprint provides a broader structural canvas on which the company can refine targets and move toward defining the continuity and scale of mineralisation across the Star Range system.
