5E Advanced Materials has moved closer to fulfilling its vision of becoming the newest domestic producer of boric acid and lithium carbonate.

The company also works under its EPA UIC permit to extract valuable minerals from its wholly-owned project.
The wellfield injection process has been initiated, and the company expects to begin lab production in the short term.
5E CEO Susan Brennan said her team has been resilient through the construction process, navigating several challenges and ultimately bringing our facility online.
5E Advanced Materials’ mission is to become a vertically integrated global leader and supplier of boron specialty and advanced materials, complemented by lithium co-product production,” Ms Brennan said
Boron: A Critical Super Material
Boron, the fifth element on the periodic table, has some remarkable physical properties such as high hardness, low weight, and heat resistance. It can be found in its natural form as ores and concentrates and can be further refined into higher value specialty and advanced materials. 5E aims to focus on developing these advanced materials, enhanced with Boron.
