Balkan Mining and Minerals intersected up to 0.60m thick sample of spodumene uncovered showed an approximate width of 14.3m as part of the Company’s work program at the Gorge Lithium exploration project located in Canada’s emerging Thunder Bay North Mining District of. Ontario

The standout channel sample was collected as one of 34 samples obtained from seven mechanically cut channels totalling 21.6m within a dyke cluster – the largest single dyke intersecting a width of 3.80m.

The new pegmatite occurrence is 68m to the south and approximately 50m offset from the strike of the known dykes.

Prospecting and sampling at the Nelson occurrences represented the most significant findings during the program. The most promising portion of the Nelson area is a cluster of 1.8m part of the dyke

“The channel sampling program, along with the geological mapping that has been completed over both the Koshman and Nelson spodumene-bearing pegmatite areas, has provided us with an encouraging indication of the potential size of the project,” Managing Director Ross Cotton said.

The channel samples from the program will be dispatched to ActLabs in Ontario shortly, and the assay results will be reported once they become available.

Price Action

The Company’s ASX-listed shares are 29c at Market Open.

Next Steps

Follow-up work is recommended to seek to expand the pegmatite exposures along the strike and explore the newly identified pegmatites.
