Lunnon Metals (ASX:LM8) reports Paringa and Plentiful drill results at Foster-Baker Project
May 8, 2026 Off By MarketOpenLunnon Metals has reported drilling results from the Paringa West and Plentiful gold prospects within its Foster-Baker Project, located within the Paringa Gold Belt on the western side of the project area.
Highlights
- Paringa West drilling returned 14m @ 2.62 g/t Au, 13m @ 1.73 g/t Au and 15m @ 1.10 g/t Au
- Visible gold observed in RC drill chips for the first time at the Foster-Baker Project
- Diamond drilling returned 0.5m @ 41.98 g/t Au from 177.2m in footwall structures
- Plentiful drilling returned 1.9m @ 1.18 g/t Au from 142m within the dolerite host
- Second WA Government co funded EIS hole commenced at Plentiful
The Paringa West drilling program followed up a previous intercept of 8m @ 5.52 g/t Au from 65m, with a 20m x 20m reverse circulation program completed during the March 2026 quarter, with a total of 14 RC holes drilled to assess short range continuity of the intercept and confirm the interpreted strike of the hosting structure over approximately 200m.
Significant intercepts were recorded across the program, including 13m @ 1.73 g/t Au, 5m @ 1.44 g/t Au, 14m @ 2.62 g/t Au and 15m @ 1.10 g/t Au, with quartz veining observed in both weathered and fresh rock.
The Company reported a shallow north west dipping mineralised structure, termed the “050 structure”, with subsidiary footwall structures, with mineralisation remaining open down plunge.
Visible gold was observed in RC drill chips for the first time at the Foster-Baker Project, with RC hole PBS26RC_061 recording visible gold associated with quartz veining from 68m to 69m.
A diamond drill hole completed down dip intersected additional footwall structures, including 0.5m @ 41.98 g/t Au from 177.2m and 0.5m @ 0.43 g/t Au from 303.6m.
At Plentiful, drilling intersected 1.9m @ 1.18 g/t Au from 142m within the dolerite host, with drilling along the 600m length of the Plentiful Dolerite magnetic anomaly, with the Company reporting that this drilling provided more information regarding the geometry of the dolerite and informed the design of a second EIS hole.
Lunnon Metals Managing Director, Edmund Ainscough said:
“To date we have been focused on the Foster Gold Belt but the adjacent belts and other host rocks on our package are equally prospective and these results mark the first steps in discovering meaningful gold away from the Defiance Dolerite at Foster itself now that mining at Lady Herial is well underway.”
Lunnon Metals reported other significant results from recent and historical drilling in the vicinity, including narrow high-grade results.
The Company reported that next steps at Paringa West include a number of diamond drill holes followed by reverse circulation drilling.
At Plentiful, the second EIS hole is designed to test the north western termination of the dolerite, with results expected early in the September quarter.
The results were reported from exploration at the Foster-Baker Project within the Kambalda St Ives district, where all gold prospects being tested and evaluated are 100% owned by Lunnon Metals.
