Forrestania (ASX:FRS) grabs high-grade taste of Eastern Goldfields

Forrestania (ASX:FRS) grabs high-grade taste of Eastern Goldfields

April 10, 2024 Off By Jack Baker

Forrestania Resources’ recent site visits to its Eastern Goldfields project have returned high-grade grab samples up to 49 grams per tonne gold to go alongside significant historic drilling results compiled from the namesake region of Western Australia.

Results of 49g/t, 15.7g/t, and 13.5g/t gold came from previously unrecorded historic drill spoils at the headlining Ada Ann prospect, with historic strikes compiled from recent data reviews showing up to 7 metres at 5.01g/t Au from 4m.

In spite of high-grade intercepts and mineralisation appearing open at depth and along strike, no drilling at Ada Ann has been recorded for the past 15 years.

A fact soon to change, as Forrestania is confident it has just significantly upgraded the prospect’s exploration potential and provided strong first-pass targets for a maiden campaign it indents to launch as soon as possible.

Forrestania Chairman John Hannaford said the company was very encouraged by the significant results which also confirmed a second prospective zone at Ada Ann.

“The developing gold story at this project can be quickly advanced to a potentially valuable asset for the company given the very favourable location nearby of several active mills and excellent logistics, with a haul road immediately adjacent to the project area,” Hannaford said.

Ada Ann sits a scant eight kilometres from Evolution Mining’s (ASX:EVN) 5.3-million-ounce Mungari operation, with Forrestania believing the 14 tenements comprising its Eastern Goldfields assets to be highly prospective for large-scale discoveries.

Historic results have also highlighted open zones of gold mineralisation at the Bonnie Vale North subproject, featuring strikes of up to 3m at 2.03g/t Au from 77m.

Forrestania intends to kick off a maiden campaign to begin as soon as it can manage and is now working on heritage agreements so it can start testing the extension, depth, and new high-grade zone potential of Ada Ann as gold prices continue to reach new record highs.
