Burley Minerals (ASX: BUR) hit pegmatite swarms at Chubb North
October 30, 2023has hit 182m pegmatite swarms at its Chubb North Prospect in the heart of the world-class lithium province of Québec, Canada.
Four diamond drilling holes intersected an extensive LCT pegmatite system with dykes up to 182m thick and a 500m+ outcrop strike.
Diamond drilling has identified two LCT pegmatite targets, extending continuous, open mineralisation and demanding further drilling.
The discovery has significantly extended during the maiden zone north of the main site.
Burley CEO Stewart McCallion says indications after LIBS and pXRF analysis
had been promising.
“Excitement is building following examination of the initial 4 diamond holes drilled into the newly identified LCT pegmatite target at Chubb North,” Mr McCallion said.
“All four holes encountered pegmatite zones more significant than 30m wide with combined widths of up to 182m, and with the largest pegmatite outcrop exceeding 500m of strike length.
“Importantly the pXRF and LIBS geochemical results suggest very positive 1 Geochemical results are qualitative and intended to guide Company geologists when planning future field work only.”
Geologists have drilled 9,000m and are reviewing data to confirm lithium in the pegmatite field and explore new mineralisation at Chubb North.
