Atlantic Lithium (ASX:A11) hit whopping fertile pegmatite in West AfricaNovember 28, 2023
Atlantic Lithium has confirmed 106m of continuous pegmatite loaded with visible spodumene at its flagship Ewoyaa Lithium Project in Ghana.
It is the longest continuous pegmatite interval from the company’s 2023 drilling programme, which is looking for extensions to add to its current mineral resource estimate of 35.3Mt @ 1.25 Li2O and Ore Reserves of 25.6Mt @ 1.22% Li2O.
Atlantic, developing Ghana’s first lithium mine, is understandably upbeat on the finding of numerous broad intervals of visible spodumene outside its project area.
Visible coarse-grained spodumene fragment intervals reported at shallow depths in holes:
GRC1017: 51m interval of 25-30% visual esimated spodumene modal abundance from 83m
GRC1020: 74m interval of 20-25% visual estimate spodumene modal abundance from 39m and a 41m
interval of 20-25% visual estimate spodumene modal abundance from 137m
GRC1021: 24m interval of 15-25% visual estimated spodumene
“In line with our aim of delivering an increased resource at the Ewoyaa Lithium Project, we are very pleased to report broad intervals of visible, coarse-grained spodumene in multiple drill holes near the surface and outside of the current MRE footprint,” Executive Chairman Neil Herbert said.
“These intervals further improve our confidence in delivering an updated MRE upon completing the current drilling programme in Q2 2024.
“We are excited to have intersected our longest pegmatite interval in the 2023 drilling programme.”
