FRONTIER ENERGY (ASX: FHE)

Frontier Energy has gone from strength to strength since unveiling its plans to build Western Australia’s first green hydrogen project, Bristol Springs, near Waroona in southwest WA.

It recently released a Definitive Feasibility Study for the project’s first stage, which will comprise a 114-megawatt solar farm and a 36MW alkaline electrolyser.

The DFS confirmed the project’s potential to be a low-cost, early mover in Australia’s green hydrogen industry. Frontier is moving ahead with foundation offtake discussions for hydrogen produced in Stage 1, and these are well in hand.

“Frontier is moving ahead with foundation offtake discussions for hydrogen produced in Stage 1.”

The project already has the attention of the WA State Government, securing a 15-year water supply agreement, and could benefit from the Federal Budget’s $2bn Hydrogen Headstart program, which will help trailblazers such as Frontier.

Grant Davey’s Matador Capital is behind Frontier, and this is a team that has continued to demonstrate commitment to delivering projects to meet peak market demand.

Frontier’s Bristol Springs is no different. I’m also impressed by the way Grant Davey shows his support with on-market buying which is, unfortunately, very rare for ASX-listed directors.

ILTANI RESOURCES (ASX: ILT)

Iltani Resources is a new critical mineral play that has picked up the Herberton silver indium project from the defunct Red River Resources.

Herberton is arguably Australia’s best silver exploration project but also has the highest-grade known indium deposits in the country. Indium is one of Australia’s deemed critical minerals, with increasing demand due to its use in solar panels, LCDs and touchscreens.

Iltani’s Managing Director Donald Garner secured the project at Red River and has now added it to Iltani’s portfolio, while also pegging ground in Tasmania’s Mt Read Volcanics region next to Rosebery, Hellyer and Mt Lyell massive sulphide deposits, along with several other Queensland gold and base metal prospects. The company has an EV of just over $3M.

“Herberton is arguably Australia’s best silver exploration project but also has the highest-grade known indium deposits in the country.”

At the time of writing, Iltani was making final preparations for its IPO ahead of an ASX listing and I’ll be watching this one closely to see how quickly it can advance exploration on its exciting targets.

TRUE NORTH COPPER (ASX: TNC)

True North Copper is another new name to watch, with a backdoor listing via Duke Exploration in progress at the time of writing.

TNC wants to become the ASX’s next copper producer with Global Resources containing more than 300,000 tonnes of copper plus cobalt, gold and silver, and it has the infrastructure ready to go. It aims to finalise a restart plan for the Great Australia Mine in Queensland within months of hitting the ASX.
