Cassius (ASX:CMD) confirms high grade rocks in Tanzania
February 16, 2023Cassius Mining has returned highly promising rock chip assays up to 1.08% Li20 contained within a highly prospective area for lithium at its Chenene Lithium Project in Tanzania.
‘Dulu-1’ pegmatite rock-chip samples confirmed as LCT-type (Lithium-Caesium-Tantalum) with up to 2,782 ppm Cs and 181 ppm Ta with pegmatite lithology followed along strike for at least 950m.

The most notable samples have come from the eastern section of around 510m parallel to and located ~160m south of the ‘Dulu 2′ hematite.
Meanwhile, Dulu-2’ pegmatite rock-chip samples in the enclosed PML area returned up to 5.49% Li2O.
“The LCT mineralised rock-chip samples at Dulu in our Chenene Lithium Project has opened up a new chapter for the Company, with the exciting potential of not only the two Dulu pegmatites extending sub-surface further along strike in both directions to the WNW and ESE but also of more parallel mineralised pegmatites being identified in the immediate area,” Cassius Chairman James Arkoudis said.
“We are really looking forward to the next exploratory phase at the now prioritised Dulu area, where we expect to build on these positive results in the near future.”
