Duketon Mining (ASX:DKM) reports first drilling results from the Barlee Gold Project

June 24, 2026 Off By MarketOpen

Duketon Mining has reported the first drilling results from its 100% owned Barlee Gold Project, located north of Southern Cross.

The company has received assay results for all aircore drill holes and 5 of the 28 RC drill holes completed at the project, representing approximately 1,000 assays from a total of 1,900 samples, with the remaining assays anticipated within the next 10 days.

Highlights

  • First ever drilling completed at the Barlee Gold Project.
  • Assays received for all aircore drill holes and 5 of the 28 RC drill holes.
  • Astro Prospect returned 24m @ 0.79g/t Au from 24m, including 12m @ 1.29g/t Au from 28m, and 8m @ 0.76g/t Au from 52m, including 2m @ 1.97g/t Au from 54m.
  • A second significant intersection at the Astro Prospect returned 7m @ 0.74g/t Au from 76m, including 1m @ 4.68g/t Au from 82m.
  • Gromit Prospect returned 4m @ 0.53g/t Au from 16m and 8m @ 0.27g/t Au from 28m from aircore drilling, with assay results pending from adjacent RC drill holes.
  • Approximately 50% of assay results have been received. The remaining assays are anticipated within the next 10 days.

The company reported assay results from drilling completed at the Astro and Gromit prospects, which were identified as high priority anomalies from a recent Ultra Fine Fraction, or UFF, soil geochemistry program with gold values greater than 200ppb Au.

The company stated that mineralisation appears to correlate well with the geochemical anomalies, and also reported that significant gold mineralisation was intersected at the Astro Prospect in hole 26BAR005 and on a drill line approximately 400m to the south in hole 26BAC025.

Hole 26BAR005 intersected 24m @ 0.79g/t Au from 24m, including 12m @ 1.29g/t Au from 28m, followed by 8m @ 0.76g/t Au from 52m, including 2m @ 1.97g/t Au from 54m, while aircore hole 26BAC025 returned 7m @ 0.74g/t Au from 76m, including 1m @ 4.68g/t Au from 82m.

At the Gromit Prospect, aircore drilling assays returned anomalous mineralisation, including 4m @ 0.53g/t Au from 16m and 8m @ 0.27g/t Au from 28m.

The company also reported that RC drill holes on either side of aircore hole 26BAC068 intersected significant quartz veining, with assay results for those holes pending.

Duketon Managing Director Stuart Fogarty said,

“These first ever drilling results from the Barlee Gold Project have exceeded our expectations and provide strong validation of the extensive gold anomalies identified through our geochemical programs.”

The company stated that only 30% of its current granted tenure has been covered by effective soil geochemistry surveys, with tenement applications in place covering a further 12km of the same geological unit to the south.

Additional UFF programs will be completed over the coming months to infill areas on granted tenure and, as additional tenure is granted, those areas will also be covered by UFF.

The remaining 900 assays are anticipated within the next 10 days, after which the company stated that, once those assays have been assessed and understood, a follow up drill program will be implemented, and that it will provide an update after the remaining assay results have been received.
