The results relate to selected portions of five RC holes drilled along the Kanowna Shear Zone, with assays reported from fresh bedrock sections.
Highlights
- Assays received for fresh bedrock sections from five RC holes
- Peak result of 2m at 3.72g/t Au from 30m in hole DARC001
- 12m at 0.79g/t Au from 30m reported in DARC001
- 1m at 1.1g/t Au from 152m reported in DARC001
- RC program comprised six holes for 875m
- Four diamond tails completed for 591.1m
- Diamond tail in ADRC003 extended to 270m
- Assays pending for weathered RC intervals and diamond core
At the Don Alvaro prospect, two RC holes were drilled approximately 80m apart, with assay results now received for fresh bedrock portions of DARC001 and DARC002.
Hole DARC001 returned 2m at 3.72g/t Au from 30m within a broader 12m at 0.79g/t Au from 30m with a further result of 1m at 1.1g/t Au from 152m was also reported in DARC001 while esults from DARC002R remain pending.
Cosmo Metals Managing Director Ian Prentice stated,
“These initial batches of assay results from the RC drilling phase of this targeted drilling program at our Kanowna Gold Project are very encouraging, with significant results returned from the RC hole immediately along strike from previous high grade results at Don Alvaro.”
At the Adder prospect, three RC holes were drilled along a +2km gold in saprolite anomaly, with assay results now received for fresh rock portions of ADRC001 and pre-collar portions of ADRC002 and ADRC003.
A result of 2m at 0.31g/t Au from 75m was reported from ADRC002 pre-collar samples, while results for weathered RC portions remain pending, with diamond drilling completed at ADRC002 to 230m and at ADRC003 to 270m..
Samples were prepared and analysed using 25g fire assay with ICP finish. QAQC procedures included standards, blanks and duplicates.
At Laguna Verde, the RC pre collar was drilled to 100m. Logged sequences include transported sediments, weathered bedrock and mafic to intermediate volcanics.
Quartz veining and silicified andesite were recorded in logged intervals. Assays for this hole and associated diamond drilling remain pending.
