Harts Range Reframed As District-Scale Copper-Nickel System

The Play

  • BHP Xplor research reframed Harts Range as a district-scale copper-nickel system.
  • A deep C2 conductor sits beneath Blackadder-Baldrick Ni-Cu-PGE mineralisation.
  • The C2 conductor was identified from reprocessed MT and seismic data.
  • Integrated datasets generated a coherent mineral systems targeting model.
  • Known sulphide mineralisation is associated with major crustal pathways.

The Pitch

  • Harts Range spans the Irindina and Aileron provinces in the NT.
  • The portfolio contains copper, nickel and sulphide mineral occurrences.
  • MT, seismic, gravity, magnetic and isotopic datasets were integrated.
  • The Blackadder-Baldrick prospects occur directly above the C2 conductor.
  • The company holds a district-scale tenure position across Harts Range.

The Next Overs

  • Two approximately 50km MT and gravity survey lines will be acquired.
