Accelerate Resources (ASX:AX8) highlights high grade manganese at Woodie Woodie North
April 29, 2026 Off By MarketOpenAccelerate Resources has reported historical drilling results and internal data review outcomes from its Woodie Woodie North Manganese Project in the East Pilbara, outlining multiple high grade manganese intersections that correspond with recently reported rock chip sampling and mapped outcrop across key target corridors.
Highlights
- Up to 5m @ 41.6% Mn from surface including 1m @ 50.2% Mn at Gingarrigan corridor
- 4m @ 30.9% Mn from 1m in historical drilling
- Multiple historical holes returning >20% Mn
- Area 42 drilling includes 6m @ 39.8% Mn from 11m including 1m @ 50.1% Mn
- 4m @ 37.9% Mn from surface including 1m @ 50.8% Mn
- Project spans 432 km² with manganese corridors extending over 42 km
The update is based on a compilation of historical Rotary Air Blast drilling from WAMEX Report A57720, which identified multiple manganese intersections across the Gingarrigan and El Largo corridors.
These results correspond with areas of high grade rock chip sampling reported by the company following mapping and sampling activities across the El Largo corridor after access to tenement E45/6603 was granted.
The El Largo corridor comprises multiple manganese prospects along a 4 km corridor of hydrothermal alteration within the Carawine Dolomite and Pinjian Chert Breccia, which are the same rock formations that host the Woodie Woodie manganese mine to the south.
The historical drilling results are reported as down hole lengths, with true widths not currently known, and are derived from data compiled from WAMEX with limited recovery records and sample preparation details available.
A review of drilling completed by Accelerate between 2021 and 2023 at Area 42 identified high grade intervals that were previously included within broader composite zones.
Re composited results include 6m @ 39.8% Mn from 11m including 1m @ 50.1% Mn, and 6m @ 36.8% Mn from 14m including 2m @ 50.1% Mn, forming part of previously reported RC drilling datasets for the project.
The Woodie Woodie North Project covers 432 km² and incorporates seven mapped manganese corridors extending over 42 km of strike.
Exploration drilling completed to date across Barra North, Barra South and Area 42 has defined a maiden Inferred Mineral Resource Estimate of 1.2 Mt at 19.1% Mn at a 15% Mn cut off, with Exploration Targets of 5.3 to 10.7 Mt at 10 to 19% Mn also defined, excluding the Gingarrigan and El Largo trends.
Accelerate Resources CEO Luke Meter said
“These compelling historic manganese intercepts, with many starting from or near surface and containing multiple 50%+ Mn grades, significantly strengthen the project and continue validating the outstanding exploration upside at Woodie Woodie North.”
Exploration across the El Largo and Gingarrigan corridors is at an early stage, with mapping and rock sampling recently commenced, and the company plans further geological mapping and surface sampling to define the extent, orientation and controls of manganese mineralisation and refine priority drill targets.
Accelerate is also progressing engagement with Traditional Owners to complete heritage surveys ahead of planned RC drilling programs to test subsurface continuity and evaluate thickness potential along both corridors.
The Woodie Woodie North Project is located approximately 260 km east of Port Hedland and 70 km north of the Woodie Woodie manganese mine, with tenure covering Proterozoic sediments along the Woodie Woodie Manganese Corridor, and the current dataset incorporates historical drilling, recent mapping and sampling, and previously reported drilling results, with further work planned subject to access and heritage clearances.
