White Cliff Minerals (ASX:WCN) expands Rae Copper footprint with second high-grade system
October 24, 2025White Cliff Minerals (ASX:WCN) latest drill results from the Rae Copper Project in Nunavut, Canada, have doubled the company’s exploration narrative.
The discovery of a second copper system, known as Danvers 2, extends mineralisation more than four kilometres southwest of the original Danvers 1 zone, reinforcing the scale potential of the Teshierpi Fault Zone and the district’s broader copper endowment.
Highlights
-
Discovery of Danvers 2: New high-grade copper zone identified over 4 km southwest of Danvers 1.
-
Key intercept: 15 m @ 4.8% Cu and 20 g/t Ag within 30.5 m @ 2.5% Cu from 7.5 m (hole DAN25019).
-
Aerial geophysics: Preliminary data indicates a broader mineralised structure, possibly linking Danvers 1 and 2.
-
Pending assays: Further results expected from Stark and Hulk targets in the coming weeks.
The new results confirm that copper mineralisation continues along strike within the Teshierpi Fault Zone, which now demonstrates more than four kilometres of continuity.
The standout drillhole, DAN25019, intersected a thick, shallow zone grading 15 metres at 4.8 per cent copper and 20 grams per tonne silver from 12 metres, within a broader 30.5 metre interval averaging 2.5 per cent copper.
Importantly, the hole sits well outside the known Danvers 1 footprint, highlighting the untested scale of the mineralised corridor.
Drilling results from adjacent holes, including DAN25015 through DAN25018, continue to return anomalous copper over substantial widths, demonstrating consistent mineralisation both near surface and at depth.
These findings complement earlier reverse circulation results that outlined strong chalcocite-dominant copper sulphides and reinforce the notion of multiple stacked or linked systems along the fault.
The fault-controlled mineralisation style, combined with the project’s scale, positions Rae as one of the more compelling emerging copper systems in Canada’s Nunavut region.
“This latest drill result firmly establishes the wider Danvers lease as a major growth opportunity, confirming its potential to host multiple large-scale, high-grade deposits. The strong replication of chalcocite-dominant mineralisation over four kilometres along strike underscores the significant upside beyond what we’ve already discovered,” said Managing Director Troy Whittaker.
White Cliff Minerals exploration focus on the Rae Project stems from its geological resemblance to sediment-hosted copper systems such as those of the Central African Copperbelt.
The project area already contains a historical estimate of 4.16 million tonnes at 2.96 per cent copper, though not yet reported under JORC 2012, with past results including intercepts up to 175 metres at 2.5 per cent copper and 8.7 grams per tonne silver, providing strong context for the company’s current exploration success.
The ongoing integration of airborne geophysics with surface mapping and drill data is expected to guide follow-up programs targeting extensions along the Teshierpi Fault Zone.
Meanwhile, assays pending from other prospects such as Stark and Hulk could reveal further mineralised zones, potentially broadening the regional copper footprint.
In a broader context, White Cliff’s systematic approach to exploration across a largely underexplored region underscores the growing strategic relevance of high-grade copper discoveries in secure jurisdictions.
As electrification and renewable-energy demand continue to drive interest in tier-one copper assets, Rae’s expanding footprint places the company in an enviable position for future development and potential partnership discussions.
