Power Minerals (ASX:PNN) hits 4.34% TREO at Santa Anna in shallow drilling

There’s been no shortage of rare earth hopefuls tapping clay-hosted deposits in far-flung corners of the globe.

But few have delivered the sort of near-surface, high-grade results just announced by Power Minerals (ASX:PNN) at its Santa Anna Project in Brazil’s Goiás state.

Key Highlights:

  • 1m @ 43,385ppm (4.34%) TREO from 11m depth in auger hole MN-TM-04

  • 15m @ 13,212ppm TREO from surface; also includes 15m @ 4,319ppm Nb₂O₅

  • Hole ended in mineralisation; further RC drilling planned

  • Leach tests underway to confirm ionic clay potential

  • Located in central Brazil with no known environmental or tenure issues

The fourth auger hole, MN-TM-04, continues a string of consistent high-grade returns across the shallow weathered zone and reinforces Power Minerals thesis: that Santa Anna could host a world-class, large-scale deposit of critical minerals, without the permitting and ESG hurdles often faced elsewhere.

The standout intersection, 1 metre at 43,385ppm (4.34%) Total Rare Earth Oxides (TREO) is the highest-grade REE hit at the project to date.

It sits within a broader 15m interval grading 13,212ppm TREO, also carrying high-grade niobium to 7,748ppm Nb₂O₅.

“Drill hole MN-TM-04 has returned spectacular results, highlighted by the highest TREO result reported at the Santa Anna Project to date… These high grades from near surface are indicating a potential world-class and advanced exploration opportunity with critical minerals for Power,” said Power Minerals Managing Director Mena Habib.

The company is targeting a 1,000m auger program of 60 holes to firm up a maiden Mineral Resource Estimate (MRE).

Earlier holes have also shown impressive results including 13m at 7,882ppm TREO and 2m at 13,375ppm Nb₂O₅, validating the broader geological model.

Situated within the 17km² Santa Anna Alkaline Complex controlled entirely by Power, the project is encumbered neither by neighbouring claims nor environmental red tape.

It also benefits from Brazil’s favourable mining regime and supportive infrastructure.

With drilling ongoing, and deeper RC work and metallurgical tests in the pipeline, Power appears well positioned to elevate Santa Anna to the upper ranks of global clay-hosted REE plays.
