Warriedar Resources (ASX:WA8) extends high-grade gold and antimony zones at Ricciardo, eyes further resource growth

Warriedar Resources (ASX:WA8) has released encouraging results from ongoing drilling at its flagship Ricciardo Gold-Antimony Deposit, part of the company’s 100% owned Golden Range Project in Western Australia.

The results come from the Ardmore Pit area, where recent diamond drilling has confirmed new high-grade intercepts of both gold and antimony, further enhancing the scale and development potential of this dual-commodity project.

With successive Mineral Resource upgrades already achieved in the past year, Warriedar is moving quickly to build on this momentum.

Managing Director and CEO Amanda Buckingham provides insights into the latest drilling success, the role of antimony in the project, and the company’s forward strategy.

What makes these latest drilling results at Ricciardo’s Ardmore Pit significant for Warriedar Resources and its shareholders?

The drilling at Ardmore continues to deliver meaningful results that strengthen our understanding of the Ricciardo system.

The recently completed hole, RDRC069, has intersected multiple zones containing both antimony and gold over substantial widths.

These high-grade intervals extend beyond the boundaries of the current Mineral Resource Estimate, which suggests there is considerable room for growth.

For shareholders, this is important because it highlights the success of our targeted drilling approach, which is focused not only on increasing the scale of the resource but also on uncovering new zones of economic interest that may have been overlooked in the past.

“While only one diamond hole, RDRC069 is an excellent demonstration of why the Ricciardo gold-antimony deposit is so attractive. Multiple zones with wide intervals of high-grade Sb and Au, and mineralogy results showing that conventional stibnite is the dominant antimony mineral.”

Can you explain why antimony is an important part of this discovery alongside gold?

Antimony is an increasingly strategic mineral due to its critical role in industries such as flame retardants, energy storage, and defence applications.

Australia currently has very limited domestic production of antimony, which means any new deposit containing economically viable antimony grades has the potential to attract significant interest.

Ricciardo’s May 2025 Mineral Resource Estimate confirmed a gold-equivalent resource of 1.96 million ounces, including 1.04 million ounces of gold and 60.3 kilotonnes of antimony.

This positions Ricciardo as Australia’s largest open-pit antimony resource.

The combination of both gold and antimony within the same system enhances the economic potential of the project and provides the company with greater flexibility as market conditions evolve.

How do these drilling results fit into the larger exploration and development strategy for the Ricciardo deposit?

These results form part of a deliberate and systematic strategy aimed at unlocking the full potential of Ricciardo.

Since Warriedar acquired the asset, we have delivered two substantial Mineral Resource upgrades, first in November 2024 focused on gold, and then in May 2025 with the inclusion of antimony.

Each upgrade has nearly doubled the resource compared to previous estimates.

Ongoing drilling is targeting extensions at depth and along strike, particularly beneath the Ardmore Pit, where these latest intercepts have been returned.

Our field teams are working with multiple rigs, and we expect further assay results in the near term.

These results will inform updated resource models and future metallurgical studies, helping to shape a potential development pathway.

“When coupled with the scale of the overall Ricciardo deposit, and its substantial further growth potential, it is clear why we are excited to be accelerating our drilling efforts there over coming months.”

Could you share more about the mineralogy study and why confirming stibnite is important for the project?

The mineralogy study using ELEMISSION’s ECORE LIBS technology has been an important part of our technical work, providing detailed insights into the mineral composition of the orebody.

The analysis confirmed that stibnite is the overwhelmingly dominant antimony mineral present in the tested intervals, accounting for more than 99% of the antimony mineralisation.

This is highly relevant because stibnite is the most common and preferred form of antimony for conventional processing circuits, which reduces technical risk and supports future metallurgical recovery.

“The mineralogy study identified two main antimony minerals: stibnite (Sb2S3) and tetrahedrite ((Cu,Fe)₁₂Sb₄S₁₃). Stibnite represented overall >99% of the reported antimony minerals from this study.”

What are the immediate next steps for Warriedar following this announcement?

We are pressing ahead with an active and disciplined exploration program at Ricciardo.

Multiple rigs are currently operating, and we are focused on both extending the known high-grade shoots and identifying new zones of mineralisation that could add further resource growth.

Additional diamond drilling results are expected shortly, and metallurgical studies will continue alongside the geological work.

Together, these activities are laying the groundwork for future resource updates and development planning.

“These results demonstrate the consistency of the antimony zones, and the down-plunge continuity of the antimony and gold high-grade shoots at Ardmore.”

Focused on growth, resource expansion and long term value creation

Warriedar Resources continues to build momentum at the Ricciardo Gold-Antimony Deposit through its targeted drilling and technical studies.

With new high-grade intercepts extending known mineralisation and additional assay results on the horizon, the company remains on track to grow its Mineral Resource and progress toward future development.

The dual-commodity nature of Ricciardo, combining both gold and antimony, positions Warriedar strongly within the Australian resources sector.

The company is committed to advancing the project while delivering long term value for shareholders through a disciplined, growth focused strategy.
