Zuleika (ASX:ZAG) prepping the Eastern Goldfields

Zuleika Gold have defined system-like geochemical anomalies during its latest sampling programme in preparation for drilling across expansive holdings in Western Australia’s Eastern Goldfields.

Soil results at the Menzies Project outlined a pattern of systemic gold anomalies in areas with desirable structural preparation and prospective greenstone lithologies – one lay for 2km adjacent to a row of shoddily explored historical workings.

Meanwhile, at Zuleika North and Grants Patch prospects, field validation and drill hole planning have wrapped up over elevated soil geochemistry anomalies already defined, with drilling bookmarked for this year’s second quarter after the company finishes lining up its most prospective targets.

Zuleika’s Eastern Goldfields tenements and prospects

To rapidly develop gold resources in premium Australian territory, the company’s namesake Zuleika Project alone covers 230 square kilometres of tenements along a Shear area which has produced around 20 million ounces of gold, a total Zuleika looks to make a significant contribution to as gold continues to affirm its haven status.

After moving beneath the US$1650 per ounce mark in a span of war and economic decay, gold was seen as something of an aspidistra, antiquity to be forgotten, and lengthy screeds were dedicated to how the chemically unremarkable metal had already been supplanted with zeitgeist capturing resources and intangible cryptocurrencies.

But a millennia-spanning obsession is not so easily forgotten, and gold mining endures as the relatively straightforward trade of pulling money from the ground.
