Wildcat (ASX:WC8) return top-flight Tabba Tabba lithium

Wildcat Resources has struck 85m at 1.5% Li2O from 133m at Tabba Tabba amid a series of broad, high-grade lithium intersections which have put a spotlight on the project’s potential scale and the possibility of a Tier-1 lithium deposit at the Leia Pegmatite in the Pilbara.

Leia sits in the project’s Central Cluster, and continues to thicken at depth, now standing at over 1.5 kilometres long, 50 metres wide and 400 metres down plunge while remaining open laterally and at depth.

“We continue to be encouraged by the Leia Pegmatite’s scale, grade and tabular consistency having still not found the edges of it with drilling. It really feels as though we are in the midst of a Tier 1 lithium discovery at Tabba Tabba,” Wildcat Managing Director Samuel Ekins said.

Forward plan

There are assays pending for another 36 holes into Leia, just one of six open and significant pegmatite prospects within a 3.2-kilometre-long pegmatite field and granted mining leases at Tabba Tabba.

Wildcat is now focused on establishing the limits of Leia while carrying on an aggressive exploration campaign over the project’s Central Cluster.

An initial mineralogy report confirmed spodumene-dominant mineralisation, and the company will now process core and collect samples for initial metallurgy.

Drilling will also explore the extent and infill priority targets at the Chewy and Boba pegmatites as Wildcat continue to develop its geological model and explore its largely unexplored collection of outcropping pegmatites.
