White Cliff Minerals (ASX:WCN) expands Rae Copper footprint with high-grade assays

White Cliff Minerals (ASX:WCN) has delivered another set of strong drilling results from its Rae Copper Project in Nunavut, Canada, confirming extensions of high-grade mineralisation at the Danvers prospect and expanding the mineralised strike length beyond the boundaries of the historical resource.

The latest assays continue to build a picture of shallow copper mineralisation with grades and widths that support the potential for open-pit development.

Highlights

  • 23 metres at 5.2% copper and 16.4 grams per tonne silver from 82 metres within 87 metres at 2.4% copper in hole DAN25012.

  • Mineralisation extended 100 metres southwest of the previous intercept of 105 metres at 2.25% copper in DAN25007.

  • 37 metres at 0.49% copper from 5 metres, including 5 metres at 1.91% copper and 13.4 grams per tonne silver, recorded in hole DAN25011.

  • Results to date expand the mineralised strike to more than 500 metres, representing a footprint 35% greater than the historic estimate of 4.16 million tonnes at 2.96% copper.

  • About 60% of assays from the current program remain pending.

The assay from hole DAN25012 is notable not only for its headline intercept of 23 metres at 5.2 per cent copper but also for the broader 87-metre interval averaging 2.4 per cent copper, which underscores the thickness and continuity of the mineralisation.

This hole extended the mineralised zone 100 metres southwest of previous drilling, reinforcing the potential for a significant lateral expansion, while hole DAN25011, drilled to the northeast, intersected near-surface copper and silver mineralisation that adds confidence to continuity across strike.

Importantly, these results demonstrate that the mineralisation extends beyond the historic footprint at Danvers, which hosts a non-JORC compliant resource of 4.16 million tonnes at 2.96 per cent copper, reported in the late 1960s.

Current drilling has already increased the known strike length to more than 500 metres, representing a footprint more than a third larger than the historical estimate.

With more than 6,400 metres of drilling completed this year and the majority of assays still outstanding, the company expects a steady flow of results into early 2026.

White Cliff Minerals Managing Director Troy Whittaker said the strategy for the summer campaign had been to step out from the existing footprint to demonstrate the true scale of Danvers.

“We are now seeing regular releases from the laboratory, with these latest very encouraging results on par with the Spring Campaign. Assays received now show a clear expansion to the lateral strike when compared to the historic footprint.”

The results are significant in a corporate context because they provide evidence that the Rae Copper Project is emerging as a system with both grade and scale.

The shallow nature of the mineralisation, confirmed in multiple drillholes, supports the case for open-pit potential.

In addition, the company has signalled that mineralogical studies and metallurgical test work will commence shortly, aimed at confirming copper recoveries and the suitability of the high-grade ore for direct shipping.

The broader Rae project is situated in Canada’s Great Bear Lake region, which has been identified as having the highest probability in the country for hosting iron-oxide copper-gold uranium systems.

Earlier exploration at Rae returned exceptional copper and silver rock chip assays, as well as standout drill intercepts from the maiden program including 175 metres at 2.5 per cent copper and 90 metres at 4 per cent copper.

While much work remains to convert the historic resource into a JORC-compliant estimate, the 2025 drilling program has already shown that the mineralisation extends well beyond the old boundaries.

With more assays to come and technical studies now underway, White Cliff Minerals enters 2026 positioned to further define the scale and development potential of the Rae Copper Project.
