Voltaic (ASX:VSR) get on critical path at Ti Tree South

Newly listed Voltaic Strategic Resources planning drilling following identification of 22-kilometre lithium-caesium-tantalum (LCT) corridor at its Gascoyne Critical Metals Project, located in the mid-northwest of Western Australia.

Recent ground exploration data revealed several regional lithium occurrences proximal to the project and extensive pegmatite fractionation within the project, which is an encouraging hallmark of the nearby Yinnietharra/Malinda lithium discovery, 6 km NW of the Company’s ‘Ti Tree South’ tenements.

The 212 square-kilometre landholdings include a 3×4 kilometre surface pegmatite outcrop area delineated at Ti Tree South, where extensive rock chip sampling has targeted fractionated pegmatites near the Yinnietharra / Malinda lithium discovery.

Shallow drilling for subsequent geochemical vectoring is expected to strengthen further positive field exploration of fertile pegmatite and ironstone occurrences from rock chips.

“We are encouraged by the number of pegmatite occurrences identified within the project, several of which are within 2 km of the Volta corridor,” the Company said.

“Thus far, the delineated area at Ti Tree South is anticipated to grow with further mapping and remote sensing.

“Moreover, the frequency of fractionated/altered felsic rocks observed is encouraging, with several coarse-grained pegmatites, tourmaline, and beryl widespread throughout the tenure.

“Rockchip samples (80) will undergo multi-element analysis and appraisal of fractionation to assist with LCT vectoring”

Rock chip analysis is currently underway.
