Viridis (ASX:VMM) secure approval for maiden Canadian campaign

Viridis Mining and Minerals have received all approvals to begin its maiden campaign over the Esker Lake property at its South Kitikmeot project in Canada’s Navanut Territory.

Drilling is now imminent, directed at confirming and expanding the historic mineralisation host to grades of 3m @11.7g/t Au from 33.4m, 4m @4.8g/t Au from 37m and 3.94m @3.8g/t Au from 77m.

A previous ground magnetic survey at the property identified a north-west extension of the Iron formation known to host gold occurrences at the prospect and Viridis will be simultaneously launching surveys over its other six properties which comprise a project covering 114.48 square kilometres of West Navanut’s Back River-Contwoyto Gold Belt.

The team have mobilised to site to begin camp construction for a program which will consist of up to a dozen holes and 1000 metres of drilling over key areas, directed at correlating historic intercepts with the magnetic survey to provide foundations for future exploration.

Viridis will meanwhile consider a further exploration program at its Smoky Project in New South Wales, where rapid formal assays are set to come in from an exploration licence which potentially covers more than three kilometres of strike of a known and unique kaolin‐halloysite bearing sequence.
